HEY WELL. I HAD GUITAR CLASS IN SCHOOL AND THE TEACHER BOUGHT US THIS BOOK ITS CALLED 'MASTERING THE GUITAR;LEVEL 1.BY WILLIAM AND MEL BAY..I TOTALLY RECOMEND IT IS SPEACIALLY 4 BEGINNERS SO YEAH ITS LIKE ABOUT 15 DOLLARS DNT REALLY KNOW.. BUT YEAH IF U NEED HELP I CAN SHOW U A FEW STUFF!!

This site for me has been really useful and has many resources. I like it because of all of the video tags and categories already set up. Plus it has a search function that usually finds most anything I am looking for.
It has everything with tags for "guitar" which make it easier finding guitar related material unlike other video sites like youtube.
On http://www.tubestreamer.com you can find everything from the most basic of beginner videos, to advanced stuff, guitar reviews, amp reviews, guitar recording software information, guitar tabs and more. I found this site a while back and have been visiting it every day since then. I go there to learn to play new songs (visually, which is easiest for me), and usually browse around and end up finding new stuff I like also.

There are a lot of really neat functions on the page, but I really just like the ease of learning a song watching a video.
This is kindof cool and gives people a change to make it off the youtube scene and onto other pages, that are more specific to what you are looking for.

Something I really like to see…. Great page with great guitar content, of which most of the time has had exactly what I am looking for and more.
The site owner also has created another page called youstreamer that you can upload your own videos! Site looks new but I am sure will take off pretty soon with some new users, and videos.

Sorry to sound like I am boasting this site, but I love it, and it has shown me a lot of new things and I have learned to play a lot of new songs this way. Seeing a video is much easier to learn guitar. (Even has some Piano stuff, and recording software stuff as well)
I am sure it will not take too long for this site to take off…Let's give some support to a great site showing dedication to bringing us great video information for free!

here is a really good DVD, Metal Method you want to get satge 3 and 4 intermdte. its not on youtube so I would think that the dude is making sure his rights are not violated and making sure no one is uploading.

How much does it cost for a guitar lesson for a beginner?
Depends on where you live and how long the lesson is — half hour or hour? It also depends on who the teacher is — an established, in-demand guitar teacher can charge a bit more, an impoverished college music major looking to pick up some extra money will most likely charge less.
I would say that for a half hour lesson, you should expect to pay between $15 – $20. For an hour, $35 – $40. That's assuming YOU travel to where the lessons are being given, at the teacher's home or studio or music store. If you want the teacher to come to you, he or she might charge a bit more to cover their travel time and gas, say $20 – $25 for a half hour, or $45 – $50 for an hour.

Ovation makes great guitars.
Of the Ovations, I think the deep bowls sound the best.
Washburn also make some great budget guitars.. i've seen some for around $100 new. I once bought 2 guitars used off ebay… an Ovation Custom shallow bowl cutaway and a Washburn. The Ovation cost me 4 times what the Washburn cost me, but it's the Washburn that I love.. I just love it's sound and the way it plays. I plan to sell the Ovation. We also have an Ovation deep bowl from probably the 1970s, which has great sound and won't be going anywhere. Washburn makes some great budget guitars you can get for around $100. If you watch craigslist.org in your area, you can find great deals. People buy guitars, never get around to learning and eventually sell them. You can find some good (if short) guitar lessons on youtube for starters. There are alot of guitar lesson dvd's out there that can be helpful. Maybe check your library to see if they have any you can get started on. There's even a Guitar playing for Dummies book with dvd. It's always handy to have a guitar chord chart handy for referance. You can get them from a music store or probably copy one off the internet. I had one for years that was in the back of a girlscout handbook Ha.
